We're saddened & disappointed to have to make the decision to Temporarily suspend our Tuesday night visits to all of the patients in KY Children Hospital. It is a difficult decision. With this ever-changing situation, we must honor what's safest for all involved. In keeping with our mission, Jarrett's Joy Cart is actively researching ways to assist organizations that are helping children during this difficult, unsettling time. Hi, Joy Cart followers. Our Chair, Jennifer Mynear, has been in close contact with Dr. Scottie Day, Chief of KY Children's Hospital and Jennifer Guilliams, Director of Child Life. They are really on it with making sure everyone stays safe during this Coronavirus 19 virus challenge. We can't disappoint the patients, but, will be changing our Tuesday night routine. We'll make sure an awesome age-appropriate gift or toy is chosen & tagged for each patient & see that they are delivered safely. Jarrett's Joy Cart has lost a wonderful champion - C. Michael Davenport, family man, businessman & philanthropist from Frankfort. Jarrett & his parents first met Michael 25 years ago at a Lexington Dream Factory Gala. He gave Jarrett a private visit to his go-cart racing track & they had a blast. Throughout the years, Michael & his wife, Kim, shared Jarrett's story with their children, Chamberlain & Chandler. The family attended our 20th Anniversary celebration last April.
